WHO WE ARE

LA Voice is a multi-racial, multi-faith community organization that awakens people to their own power, training them to speak, act, and work together to transform our County into one that reflects the dignity of all people.

Our Story

Over the past 10 years, LA Voice congregations and teams have had over 350,000 conversations with voters through our Faith Votes campaigns.  This has helped to pass a dozen key ballot measures, all of which re-direct funds and policies to put people first. We ended 30 day impounds of undocumented drivers’ cars in many cities and paved the way for drivers’ licenses for all. We ended the felony checkbox for employers in LA City and county. We won rent control in Inglewood and Baldwin Park, created a coalition that won pandemic relief for millions, and in Long Beach won a million dollar increase in the city justice fund, providing free legal counsel to immigrants facing deportation.

Most recently, we helped deliver key legislative and electoral wins to the people of Los Angeles County, including

Our mission

Founded in 1993, LA Voice is a multi-racial, multi-faith community organization that awakens people to their own power, training them to speak, act, and work together to transform our County into one that reflects the dignity of all people.

We believe all people have power and a voice. Every day we amplify that power by uniting diverse faith voices to stand-up for what their communities need, winning changes that improve the lives of all Angelenos.

LA Voice’s organizing presence is based throughout LA County, across 5 county supervisorial districts and 28 strategic cities.

In addition to this, LA Voice holds strategic power relationships with U.S. Congressional representatives, mayors and city councils of major cities within the county to facilitate a progressive racial equity agenda in the region.

LA Voice is a member of Faith In Action National Network, and PICO California.
