Karen Lynne Galleries, Inc. has been providing fine art and art consulting services for over 18 years. The unique group of artists represented reflects the special exhibition schedule throughout the year. With 2 galleries in Boca Raton, Florida and one in Beverly Hills, California, KLG continues to be a source of fine art for collectors, interior designers, homeowners, and businesses.
Karen Lynne Galleries has been chosen for the second consecutive year as the only American Delegation ever to represent the United States in the prestigious Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts (SNBA) exhibit at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France. This year’s exhibit will take place from December 11 to December 14, 2008. This is a unique honor, as the United States had never been represented in the hundred plus years the SNBA has been in existence before the Karen Lynne Galleries became involved.

There is absolutely no denying that the sub-prime lending crisis has screwed a lot of low-income borrowers, and there is no doubt that it was largely (entirely?) caused by some very greedy, very unscrupulous people.
We need severe punishment for those individuals and companies who are complicit in this mess and greater trasnparency in the lending process going forward, but the last thing we need to do is stop lending to low income borrowers.
In the last couple of days there have been two really good pieces-- one in the Wall Street Journal that aruges for continuing the priactice of securitization, and one on newsbusters.com that calls out a Reuters report for fanning the flames of hysteria on a subset of sub-prime lending called "payday lending." Both raise some really good points.

This may be somewhat esoteric for anyone who grew up on Land of the Lost, loves the Smurfs and/or listens to Depeche Mode, but there was a time when the Herald Examiner was the place to be here in Los Angeles. Last Thursday, the Los Angeles Press Club hosted “A Return to Corky’s: The Ultimate Herald Examiner Almost-20th Reunion Party.”
Journalists from all over the world were there to recall a Southern California publishing tradition that dated back to 1871. Several notables from the local political/journalism scene were there: Santa Monica Councilmember Bobby Shriver, former KCBS Political Editor Linda Breakstone, LA Daily News Editor Ron Kaye, LA Times Top of the Ticket Editor Don Frederick, Show Business Historian Alex Ben Block, famed critic Peter Reinhart, LA Observed's Kevin Roderick, and the legendary former HerEx editor, James G. “Jim” Bellows.
It was a packed house, to say the least, and there were many stories to be shared. By far, my favorite was the one told by Don Frederick (videos 2 and 3) on his hanging up on a somewhat inebriated Bill Hearst.
(Full Dislosure - I am the Publicist for the Press Club, did outreach for the event and shot the video.)

Top honors were given out Thursday night at the LA Press Club by screen legend, Maud Adams. To (badly) paraphrase the famous Kenny Bania and work in a little Bond humor, she was gold and she killed. Below are the results.

A Match Made Only In Hollywood? Harvey Levin and TMZ Accused of Trying to Cut Deal with LA Cops to ID Other Paparazzi that are “Breaking the Law”
ERS News has learned that paparazzi in Los Angeles are accusing one of the major players in the world of celebrity news and gossip of trying to broker a deal with law enforcement to assist in identifying other paparazzo photographers who may be breaking the law. The allegations stem from an incident outside Britney Spears Studio City, CA home during the recent paparazzi circus surrounding her eventual involuntary hospitalization on mental health issues at UCLA medical center.
