  LA Grindhouse Film Festival

Kudos to blogger Dennis Cozzalio for a great post about Quentin Tarantino’s two month film festival that starts today at the New Beverly Cinema. The New Beverly is universally considered the king of LA’s revival movie scene and Tarantino is, well, “Tarantino.”

If you're looking for Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill, you're in the wrong place. The festival is called “Los Angeles Grindhouse 2007” and it will feature selections from Tarantino’s personal collection of kitschy, cult films. For a festival schedule, check out the New Beverly Cinema website.

Also, for background on the movies themselves, IMDB is always a great source.

I can’t begin to adequately describe what promises to be a really cool festival, so for more about the festival and Tarantino’s planned offerings, check out Dennis’s post here.

The New Beverly Cinema is on Beverly Boulevard, one block west of La Brea.
