I just tripped over this at LAObserved and felt compelled to respond:
Chris Ayres, the Times of London's man in Los Angeles, posts: After the campaign against me by a very angry cyclist called Mack Reed (he specialises in quoting from my columns on his blog, then writing 'Oh, please!" in oversized bold letters underneath), I'm not sure I can take any more. I suppose I'm not angry so much as passionately disappointed that Ayres sometimes traffics in cliches rather than getting closer to the street and seeing the real Los Angeles ...

So I replied in a comment there: (he specialises in quoting from my columns on his blog, then writing 'Oh, please!" in oversized bold letters underneath) Oh, Chris. I'm not angry, nor are two posts about your distance from and disdain for the street-level realities of your beat "a campaign."
I'm merely criticizing your perception of Los Angeles (and, I suppose, your accuracy) in hopes of seeing it improve.
On that note, I used oversized bold letters only once, which hardly counts as "specialises in." I'm sure you're a decent chap over a pint. Name the place and time, and I'll gladly buy. Comments there are moderated. Let's see if he feels equally compelled to publish it.
I do know of a couple good microbreweries in town ...
UPDATE: Yep. The Times published my comment. Let's see if Ayres replies.
UPDATE 2: Well, so much for that. See the comments.
