Alas, alack and aday: KFI's resident professional schizophrenic host Phil Hendrie is being moved over to another radio station - lock, stock and Bobbi Dooley.
Hendrie's ear-boggling mock talk show - which pits unwary callers against more than two dozen nutcases voiced by Hendrie himself while he simultaneously "interviews" them - is being shoved by Clear Channel over to Xtra Sports 570 AM (KLAC).
Starting Feb. 21, Hendrie bats cleanup for Jim Rome - a nice act to follow, to be sure, but we do have to wonder whether KFI chose or was forced (by Clear Channel) to move Hendrie, long one of their more popular talents ...

After nearly 10 years on the top-rated talk station in town, he's getting punted to a different venue, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on who's talking:
Billboard says his "male-targeted show" (huh?) will fill the same 7 to 10 p.m. time slot except when it conflicts with Lakers games.
John Ziegler fills Hendrie's spot at KFI, promoted from the late-night shift.
LARadio.com reports that old Hendrie rival Tom Leykis snarked, "Why don't you imitate this one, Phil? 'You're fired!'" but to learn more, you have to pay LARadio's $39.95 annual subscription fee.
