Okay, it's not directly an L.A. story, since it happened in the equatorial Pacific, but it does involve a rocket engine developed by Boeing's Valley-based Rocketdyne ... and besides, I'm a sucker for video of technology misbehaving: Popular Mechanics reports things didn't go so well for Thursday's mid-ocean Sea Launch liftoff - which was streamed live to investors. Um, oops. (via Neatorama).
