Well, if rumors aired tonight at LAobserved about Antonio Villaraigosa's intention to jump into the mayor's race next week are true, he'd better take a page from Bob Hertzberg's playbook and jump on his domain names before someone snags them and spoofs him.
Still available as of this writing: not to mention all the .org, .net and .la permutations. Uhhh, word to the wise, Antonio: don't forget what happened to the White House ...

It fell victim to identity hijackers who capitalized on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue's good name with political savagery, goofery, pornography and real estate listings, among other indignities.
Villaraigosa has more than a few enemies out there who attacked him last time he ran against Jim Hahn and lost.
Plus with the field already bustling with Hertzberg, Bernard Parks, Walter Moore and as-yet unsited State Sen. Richard Alarcon, he's going to have to scramble to stake an online presence more commanding than his Council home page - which doesn't even list an email address for his office. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
