  ChillOutLA.com: A much-needed weekly chill pill

Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?

Living in this complex, crowded and convoluted city is stressful. And working here can be practically unbearable. Commuting among a sea of frustrated motorists in oversized vehicles, sitting in a cubicle absorbing the residual electromagnetic radiation emitted from my computer monitor, taking orders from people who know half as much as I do and are paid 10 times as much...(breathe)...these frustrations have started to take their toll on my body and spirit ...
MEDIA
Imagine how delighted I was to stumble upon Chill Out LA, a free weekly email newsletter and website about cheap ways to relax and indulge oneself in this crazy city we call home. It's kind of like Daily Candy, but without the frenzied consumerist bent. I suppose it's more like Flavor Pill, but with an emphasis on mind and body, as opposed to culture and nightlife. Since subscribing, I've already gotten a $28 massage and been to a community yoga class near my house, and I'm planning on booking some time at the spiritual retreat in Ojai that was recommended in yesterday's email.

I highly recommend the Chill Out LA newsletter to anyone else who's feeling stressed out, tense, knotted up, spiritually stifled...in other words, just about anyone living in Los Angeles.
